Question Overdue Windows Defender Quick Scan

Every now and then the Windows Defender icon in the system tray turns from green into an exclamation mark and says that there are some overdue scans in Windows Defender and even when I perform a quick scan, for a few days the Windows Defender icon in the system tray is green again but after a few days it turns back on. it makes an exclamation point in the Windows Defender icon and there is a message that there are overdue scans. How can I set Windows Defender never to remind I about overdue scans and only display messages if it actually finds an infected file or blocks the web browser from downloading an infected file?

Assuming you are talking about Windows Security and not Windows Defender, have you tried disabling "Recent activity and scan results" in its settings? I have personally since it was getting annoying, but I think you might be describing a different issue. If it's not in the notification settings I'm afraid it's most likely not possible.
