Overheating CPU causing crashing?

I just built my first pc and i have been having issues with crashing. I think that it might be that the cpu is overheating. Btw I have a AMD Fx 6300 cpu. I was using HWMonitor from CPUID.com and it said that my cpu was getting to 67'C. I was comparing my cpu temperature to what http://www.buildcomputers.net/cpu-temperature.html said is the minimum and maximum temperatures that my cpu should be and it was over the maximum and then it crashed. I'm not really a tech guru and would appreciate any help and advice! Thanks!

Your cpu won't shutdown until the upper 90's to protect itself. What do you exactly mean by that the computer is "crashing"?
62c is the recommended max cpu temp under load for maximum life length.

It totally shuts off... as if i just unplugged the power cord. It doesn't show the shuttingdown screen it just completely turns off on its own.
