Are you trying to run the game higher than the card can handle, i.e. ultra or high settings? 80-82C for the gtx 650i boost is way too high. How are your fans setup in your case, good airflow, cooling management? Does your cards fan work and it is at 100% all the time? That idle temp is a little high at 40C, too. What software are you using to measure the temps?

Hmm, then it sounds like your card might be in the process of dying, :(. Is it making any strange noises? If you've been playing on ultra for the last 2 years and then in only the last 2 weeks you've been experiencing this problems, it might be nearing the end of it's life. Do you have a warranty for it?

No wait, wait, don't freak out. Take one step at a time. Do some stress tests with Prime95 or look up benchmarks and see if it overheats that way. BETTER YET, play your games on medium for a decent while, say 20-30 mins, THEN look at your GPU temps. If they're still high on medium settings, then something is wrong with the GPU.
