Overheating??? Please help?

How hot is too hot?
I have an SS51G v1
I have 2 sticks of 256 MB of Sansung PC2700
Just added heatsinks to my ram, and it is still burning up.
Hmonitor reads Mainboard at 55, CPU at 44
I know Ram gets hot, but it is almost burning.
I ran memory tests and they both passed without errors.
But every so often my pc reboots by itself, so I think its a heat thing.
I got all the latest drivers (by the way).

Are these normal temperatures?

try cpu at 55 and mainboard at 44 Your sensor program is reversed.

You sure you don't have the temps reversed? It's easy to do. I've never
seen a system temp that was higher then the cpu unless something was
overheating.

If it was the cpu at 55 and the system at 44, that's a bit high for the cpu
but well within paremeters. You shouldn't notice problems unless the cpu
gets up over 60. Right now using Vcool software cooler, my cpu is at 42c
and system at 40. But it's about 85 in the room and no air conditioning.
Just a fan When it's not so hot out they usually stay in the 30's with
Vcool running.

Fan 3 (CPU fan) is running at 44 with the case off, the board temp is
55.
I'm almost sure it is due to the ram. With the new heatsinks they are
still VERY hot. But, like I said, I get no errors when running tests.
Keep in mind I have a ATI 9700 Pro, and the current temp in
Sacramento is 97 F.
So I know the system will run hotter, but it seems a bit too hot.
Am I wrong?

I just wish I knew what normal temps for ram were.

I am getting really worried.

I have a ST61G4 which runs at 53C mainboard and 36C CPU ..... don't worry
nothing is wrong.
