overheating problem help

hi ive recently built my own pc for the first time its an 8 core 8350 with gigabite 990x a750w psu 7950 saphire vapour x edition and after about ten mins of playing my computer overheats and shuts down it seems to be the cpu but dont understand why

did you apply the heat sync, and thermal paste correctly?

If you used the stock cooler Did it have a good layer of thermal paste and s it locked down tight on the CPU. Run hardware monitor check your temps at idle. Then run some diags like prime95 see how hot your CPU is getting.
Check that there no wires being sucked into the CPU and gpu fans. For the gpu run msi afterburner set a fan profile that maxes the fan out.

hi its only a cheap one at the mo as i spent all my money on other bits but i will upgrade soon to a corsair 600w modular
