I was wondering if it was possible to create an overlay on a non-proprietary software, in other words a software that i don't have the source code for ?
When i say overlay i'm talking not only about a change of color, but something more deep :
long story short our software is made to work with many different countries and companies that have different rules, taxes ... etc.
The problem is with the current version of our software we cannot create profile for a specific company or country, which makes us lose a lot of time because we always need to check everything depending on which country and company we are working with, and also makes us lose money if we forget a tax that exists only for this specific company in a specific country.
And i would like to do that : when we enter the name of the company/country, we know exactly which taxes we use and it enters it automatically so we don't have to recheck everything everytime.
But because we don't own the sourcecode/software, we cannot do that. We can change very specific little things but that's it.
So i was wondering if it was possible to create an overlay that would work "over" the software, because we cannot go inside, but that still does changes in our software ?
