Hi, I have a sony wega trinitron kv-30hs420, and I have around 5% overscan. Pictures I used here: https://cdn-enterprise.discourse.org/wd/uploads/default/original/2X/7/73b818a800dde43369ba1e5e38abb1e083353480.png http://image.bayimg.com/haodfaabp.jpg . It also does this weird thing where around the edges when I use the HDMI port, the image curves, almost as if it were trying to cut off the edges, or on a crt that isn't a flatscreen. I don't know how to go into the service menu, and what to do to fix this from there. Could someone please explain what I should do to fix these things?

The curved out wood effect is what you would find happening where if you had an old analog based CRT tube set at a 4:3 aspect ratio.

It is, or should I say was commonly known as the Pincushion on a CRT based display where the screen would curve from the left and right outer most edges of the screen in a convex or concave manner.

Where any scan lines of the screen.

You have two pin cushion settings in most cases for horizontal or vertical alignment Tobaganner.

With an analog screen some times the way to access it was to open up the Crt based monitor and turn two pots for pin cushion vertical and horizontal.

On a modern Lcd tv display the option can be set by creating your own custom resolution settings that you can find in the Nvidia software video card control suite if you have an Nvidia based card.

there were no scan lines I could see, and I read that you can go into the service menu and you could change 4 inputs which would help with overscan, and the tv is a flat screen, and only when I hook up my pc does it show the curved out wood effect
