I own an older 1366 socket i7, the 975 which I'm not ready to replace just yet but I am looking into replacing the GPU, now the above GTX 580 as I am finally hitting a wall with the 1.5GB of VRAM.

I'll be playing at 1920x1200 resolution, thus I am not concerned with higher res performance.
At my budget (about 350€-400€ max) I can get one of the following:
  • ■ΜSI GTX 780Ti 3GD5 (reference design) for about 350€ 2nd hand with still 2 years warranty
    ■Palit GeForce GTX970 4GB JetStream (NE5X970H14G2J) for 375€ new
■Gigabyte GeForce GTX970 4GB ITX (GV-N970IXOC-4GD) for 325-379€ (depending on whether I'll get it 2nd hand but as-new or sealed)
Which do you believe to be the best option? Would you suggest an alternative 970 design or even GPU to look for?
FWIW the Palit is a bit faster than the Gigabyte but the later is supposed to be a much more power-efficient design, consuming much less and at lower temps.

Try getting a GTX 970 or a R9 290 the brands that you are looking at is MSI and Asus in my opinion
maybye Gigabyte if you have good aimbient temprature and a big case hope that helped
