he isnt going to xfire now nor in the future.. which would it be?

hes going to use ddr2 memory

As far as I know X58 boards are the only boards that support i7 cpu's and they do not support DDR2.

yeah i mean the phenom II x4 940

that mobo looks nice

sorry i didnt write before that my friend is also getting a 4870 and its going to use it mainly for gaming

any other suggestions?

TS stated a wish to use DDR2 and that AM3 mobo cannot run a 940BE anyway hehe
