Hello,
I have a ECS PT800CE-A motherboard that takes a prescott p-4. What is the fastest and best processor that I can run on this board.

I have a ECS PT800CE-A motherboard and would like to install the best and fastest p4 processor on this motherboard. I am confused by the mass of P4 processors that are available. The motherboard is a 478 socket motherboard rated for a Prescott processor.

If you go to ECS' website, armed with PCB version , revision, and BIOS info, the website will show exactly which processors are supported...; naturally, you would want one of the 800 MHz versions vice 400 or 533 Mhz FSB....
