Hi everyone
Here's a problem and any idea or comment is appreciated.
This system is basicly:
Antec 1080
Asus P4C800-E Deluxe
P4-2.8E
4 X 512MB PC3200
2 X DVDRW
2 X WD 250GB RAID 1
The problem: Freeze once in a while.

After several test... Memtest freeze when testing the memory. Memory problem? Let's change and... same thing!
Mobo then? Let's change it...same thing! In fact, here's what we used to give you an idea:
4 different mobo P4C800-E-Dlx with latest BIOS
4 different cpu (Prescott, Northwood, Celeron)
Samsung, Hynix, Infineon and Kingston memory
2 video card
3 PSU
and Memtest
whatever the configuration, Memtest freeze after exactly
6 min 09 sec in all of our tests
We didn't try Single channel mode...anyway it suppose to work.
Idea, comment?

Thanks

Past does not guarantee futur. This is rational but not reasonable. What are you?

What ram? 875 chipsets are very picky!

Abit IS7 - 2.8C @ 3.4 - Mushkin PC4000 (2 X 512) - Sapphire 9800Pro - TT 420 watt Pure Power
Samsung 120gb ATA-100 - Maxtor 40gb ATA - 100
Sony DRU-510A - THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!

Getting 4 modules stable is more difficult than 2, you run into increasing timing issues as you increase the number of parts. An easy solution might be to increase vDIMM to 2.75v, but it's not 100% garunteed to work on every system.
