Here is my system

ASUS P4P800 Deluxe
Intel 3.2 GHz Processor
ATI Radeon 9600 XT
Creative Audigy 2 ZS
Thermaltake 450W PS

My issue is. Both the ASUS Probe and the BIOS Hardware Monitor says
that my +12V feed is dropping to around +10.5V
As you can imagine this is causing major issues on the system.
Video and memory errors being the first sign of this.

I've tested the powersupply and it producing a very nice +12.1V.

So I guess my question is,

Is this a known problem with the P4P800 Deluxe or could this still be
a power supply issue or something else?

Thanks

Doug

Did you test the power supply under load?

Not a known hassle. Try another power supply.

Sorry It's a 480W PS

Yeah tested it under load and with nothing running on it.

A different power supply gives the same results.

It is a dud motherboard then.

I had to rma my same board due to power issues. I suspect some faulty
part was in production at the time. After the third video card I knew
something was wrong with the board. As a test, remove the agp card and
try a pci card and see what happens to the voltage. I believe the
problem lies in the agp circuit.

On an odd note, the voltage of the system is back to normal, but the
video does goes out like it used to whenever the voltage would drop.

I suspect now that the voltage is staying fine unless I really push
the video on the board.

I'll test out your idea of using a PCI video card. I think I still
have one around her somewhere.

Thanks for the suggestion
