I have been looking at the P4S8X and really like the features on it. I know that it is a new board with the SIS 648 chipset and want to know if it runs as well as it sounds. The other option is the P4B533-E or P4B533-V. Any experience with either of these boards is welcome. I would like to have the standard 333 support that the P4S8X offers but I know that the P4B533-V overclocks really easily and gets up to DDR 400 levels. Overclockers.com has alot of threads on the P4B533-V and E. Ultimately I'd like the new Asus board but don't know if I can wait for a reputable supplier to carry them. So anybody that has bought and used the new P4S8X board your input is greatly desired.

My System
P4 2.53 CPU
Samsung DDR2700 512MB
Winfast A250 Ti 4400
WD 7200 80 GB w/8 mb cache
Lite-On 40x12x48 CDRW
Lite-On 16X DVD
Audigy w/1394
Antec Plus 1080 AMG w/430 ATX Power Supply

Any heatsink fan suggestions welcome.

Well.
I`m thinking on buying this board too, but CAN I run PC3200 DDR-ram on this board?
I thinking on 1x PC3200, 512MB module, CL 2.5
Should I have TwinMOS, Crucial or can I use some noname modules.

I Can Resist Anything But Temptation

I have the same question about whether the board can handle PC3200 (DDR 400) memory. THG article says that the SiS 648 chipset supports DDR 400, but every motherboard manufacturer web site has listed that it only supports up to DDR 333.
So what gives?
At SiS's web site, they do have a memory validation page that lists a few chips of DDR 400.

Is there a compatibility issue with Cas 2.5 or Cas 2? or is that strictly performance based and how much money you've got to spend?

This site, http://www.amd3d.com/CPU3D/review/p4s8x/index.htm , has a review of the Asus P4S8X and the reviewer says that he was able to use his Samsung PC3200 in it. I'm going to be getting this board when it comes in stock at techdata.com on the 12th. Unfortunately, I don't know how long the shipping will take, and because of that I don't know when I will be able to build ma' sexy new computer =D
