Nope!

Your X58 mobo is Triple Channel Memory, and Z77 are Dual Channel Memory.

I think you have to have 3 sticks in the X58, but can you 1, 2 or 4 in the Z77.

I was wrong, you can use only 2 sticks. They have to be in slots A1 and B1. See page 2-17 of your manual.

And it should work as it is DDR3-1600.

This is from Wikipedia:

Triple Channel Memory Architecture (motherboard)

The architecture can only be used when all three, or a multiple of three, memory modules are identical in capacity and speed, and are placed in three-channel slots. When two memory modules are installed, the architecture will operate in dual-channel mode.

According to them it will work, just in dual channel mode.

Is that the question?

Wow that's awesome! Yeah, I just wasn't sure if the architecture would match up. I thought that as long as it was DDR3 in a board that accepted that type of memory it would be ok, but I actually don't know a whole lot about RAM compatibility. I wasn't sure if RAM is specific to chipset/socket architecture or if you just need the correct slot and you're good to go.

So far I'm hearing that it'll work. That's amazing news!
