Hi all, today I was given a PC with an Asus P8H61-MX R2.0 mobo, Celeron g540, 4gb RAM and an HP 24" monitor.
Prior to adding my disks it booted into the bios just fine. After adding my disks it booted fully to windows login. Before i could enter the password, strange blocks appeared on the screen. I wiggled the vga cable on the monitor side and the pc restarted. After that, no post beep, no screen.
Removed all devices, no go. Removed ram, and I got the expected 1long-2short beep.
Tested the PSU with a tester, shows oke. Tested another known working PSU, no go.
I guess the motherboard is fried ? Or anyone got another idea to try ?
As far as i can find this board does not have a blind bios recovery?
