I've been thinking about over-clocking my 2500k, and to that end, I thought it would also be smart to update to the latest bios version before doing so; however, when I try and read the updated bios .rom file in Asus EZ Flash, I receive the error "Image integrity check failed"; any ideas why this is?

I have an Asus P8p67, according to the UEFI, my mobo is a B3.1 revision, and has a BIOS version of 0105. The version I was trying to update to is 3301.
I have tested the EZ flash with two other BIOS versions, to see if it was able to read those, I've tried using two separate memory sticks, and tried with them formatted to FAT32 and NTFS. So far I've gotten the same error each time.

I would appreciate if anyone is able to shine some light on this.

All the best,
Dan.

My mobo is a P8P67, I'm virtually certain of it. I know most of the time the motherboards share the same name and each have a unique code afterwards (P8P67 PRO/LE/DELUXE etc) , but mine is just a P8P67 without anything after it. It's odd; I've noticed there's no such board as a P8Z77, but I don't know how they go about naming things; drunk, most probably.

One thing I noticed, is that although my bios version is 0105, in the P8P67 downloads section, the 'first release bios' is 0804; but that could be put down to my motherboard being a B3 revision model?

Any other ideas at to why I'm getting the Image integrity check failed?

EDIT: noidea_77, pardon me you seem to be correct, in a word.

I noticed on the Asus site, there are two listings for the P8P67 PRO, one regular, and one with (Rev 3.1) in brackets. However, in the drop down list, only one version of the 'P8P67' displayed, however, after doing a Google search for "P8P67 Rev3.1", I did in fact track down the elusive web-page, and the BIOS versions in the download section are indeed different, so it certainly seems that I was trying to update it with the wrong bios.

Obviously my inexperience with bios's is at fault here, otherwise I would have most likely been more on the ball; I didn't know enough about the different motherboard revisions either to realise they would use incompatible bios versions,

Doesn't mean it will work properly of course, but I now know I have something to try out, so thank you!

I saw a fault in the original P8H67-v bios chip and replace the motherboard asus h61 series b
64 mbitlik wore the bio. 3707 with bios programmer is needed before installing the latest version of the bios chip 64 mbitlik print, and I've written a new chip (H61 series coming from asus) and I plugged in my motherboard P8H67-V models to fix the problem. running smoothly.
