I have recently built a new computer based on the ASUS p8z77 WS motherboard which has two Intel 82574L NIC's installed.
I am running Win 7 x64. For a NIC driver I have 12.7.27.0 dated 5/16/13 from Intel's website. I THINK this is the latest but I wouldn't swear to it though, their driver website is abysmal. In the device manager, power management, wake on lan, I have selected "Wake on Magic Packet" and "Wake on Magic Packet from power off state" on both NICs. "Wake on pattern match" is NOT checked.
I am running the latest BIOS, version 3505. In the BIOS I have DISABLED eRP and ENABLED allow wake up from PCI/PCIe devices.
When I tell Windows to shut down it shuts down cleanly and powers off. I have verified that BOTH NICs have link lights. I can send a magic packet from either my Android app or another computer and it does absolutely nothing. I have two other computers on the network which wake on lan perfectly so I know that the packets are being sent properly from my WOL apps.
I have tried each individually with no success.
Ideas?
