Quilly might be on the right track but it could be a driver problem. In any
case definitely not right! :0))

If I didn't know better, I would say my brother-in-law created that desert
after his daily case of Molsons : )

I had a similar problem in CFS3 using the 7.84 nvidia drivers. I rolled
back to the 66.93 ones and it solved the problem.
Alt -Tab ing out and then back in also helped temporarily.

Well Death Valley did bloom this year. Happens about once in a 100 years.

That looks like a video card or fs9.cfg setting problem.

boB,
Have you been looking at textures using an unusual graphics program,
possibly re-saved a texture file as a gif or jpeg...mind you, what do I
know!

that's a good point actually.. some digging into the terrain SDK and
perhaps the Imagetool help files will reveal the texture format. And
once THAT is figured out.. then yippie.. home-made textures!!

I'm hoping it's not, what Q wrote, a *sick* video card. I've tried it
during each of the seasons with no help. Still thinking what it could
be. :)

No, nothing like that. I have been experimenting with aircraft textures
but the quilts show up in areas where I have done nothing. Still looking..
