Painting Metal Heatsinks

now I know that these heatsinks are important but i only want to paint these little square parts and and red accents nothing else to black.... What type of paint should i use and how should I approach this. ? my PC is built is black and blue those three heatsinks are big eye cores to me it bugs me

any surface coating, even anodizing, and especially paint, will act as insulation keeping heat from transfering to the atmosphere surrounding it. The key word in your question was "heatsink" -

you can use enamel engine paint--temperatures in a pc wont bother it in the slightest
