Palit GTX 1060 to my old VGA monitor?

my main problem is i cant find out what type of DVI my GPU has so i cant decide which adapter to buy. since i dont enough budget yet to buy new monitor. here is the spec from palit website

i need help selecting cable adapter to buy

10xx cards don't have any analog video outputs at all, only digital. If you want to use vga then you need an active DVI to VGA adapter

thanks. ill use adapter at the mean time. till i can afford new Monitor. is there gonna be a huge improvement if i buy a new model monitor? in terms of performance

depends on what you buy. dvi-d can carry a better resolution than vga for sure. hdmi and display port are even better. if you're gonna buy new, then an hdmi or display port is what you are looking for. dvi is also getting to be old tech and should be slowly dying as well. some newer cards have even dropped this output and only have hdmi/dp ones.

yup that will work. threw me off for a sec cause they have the pic labeled backwards got the vga labeled as hdmi and vice versa.
