[SOLVED] Panel bit depth - 10 bits (8 bits + FRC) question

Hi, I was looking around specs of some displays and it shows the panel bit depth/color depth as 10 bits followed by (8 bits + FRC). I know this is generally marketing but is the panel technically 10 bits or 8 bits?

It produces 10 bpc color using temporal dithering (it's an 8 bpc panel and switches between 2 shades to produce inbetween shades). Visually it looks the same as a 10 bpc panel.
