Paper sizes

I believe this stems from an improper setup after
reinstalling Windows 2000p subsequent to a disk crash. All
of the print media seem to be defaulting to European sizes
ie paper always come up as A4. I cant find out how to
correct

Check the Regional Settings and ask in .printing group.
