I have a nvidia gtx 1030 2 GB graphics card installed in my PC. I would like to add another graphics card to my PC . What is the criteria for doing so?

Solution
If you want a second graphics card to work with a second display, you just need to buy an GPU and put it in.

If you want to add a second graphics card to improve your gaming performance, you cannot. At least not with the GT 1030. You will need to buy two new graphics cards. Either AMD GPUs, or GTX 1070 or higher from Nvidia.
Technically for 10 series you need a gtx 1070 or better to sli(Use 2 graphic cards). I am not sure if you can since gtx 1060s don't support sli bridge. Some mobos can support sli without bridges but it depends.
It would help if you can post the full specs of your pc.

3 important criteria. The mobo needs to be able to fit another gpu. The case needs to be able to fit another gpu. The psu needs to be able to handle another gpu. The other thread mentions a h61m-p20 which only has a x16 and x1. That would need a riser or a x1 gpu. If you are not aware, the igpu could probably be used. Why do you want another gpu?
