Some how I don't think that the only difference between an i7 and a i5 is just the hyper threading. And I don't think it is pointless to include the top selling model over the two version that it out sells added together, but hey that is just me. I guess this is more for the pure tech comparison and not real world useful stuff so carry on.
 
Like the other dude said: Take the 10 core proc and start cutting cores out to see what happens.

But there was another dude on youtube that already did it, his vid can be found there(I'll let you dig for it)
 
Awesome article. I enjoyed it. It would be nice if there would be a graph with CPU load across all cores, to see if 10 core CPU is less working than 6 or 4 core CPU or something like that. Of course in some graph you can see that i3 is struggling, but what about the loads across all other cores on 10 core CPU.
