actually its a massive case mod. right down to the Thermaltake XASER IV that was extensively modified to get it onto the right side of the desk. It opens on the opposite side from factory design. The left case is just admittedly an Antec 902 with no real mods except for the mount to the left desk. It is the desk itself that is the mod. There are two full computers, a wireless N Gigabit router, gigabit switch, 5 hard drives with a total of 5 750 Gb HDD's, a slew of USB ports/hubs, two DVD burners and two monitors built into the right hand desk. I am working on trim right now. I have been working on wiring harness fabrication, lighting, etc. The right hand desk is next....... I just purchased parts to hinge to glass at the front for a 32" 1920x1200 monitor under the glass. When not in use it will lay flat as a desktop. When in use it will flip up ... (manually for now) and have an additional 2 monitors on the back side for LAN party gaming all in one convenient setup.

sorry I left two of the same pics!!!

I am in this process of creating a new thread for this build and its uses right now.
THIS IS THE ULTIMATE DESK MOD!!!!

Can you please just have someone finish the balanced gaming article. Still don't have a part 4. No one cares about these stupid and ugly cases.

That one is going live on Wed. of next week. Remember, there is a TON of benchmarking involved with that series, hence the delay between parts!

Have a great weekend guys,
Chris

Jesus, I'm sorry I was such a dick about it. I genuinely thought the article would not be finished. Thanks for all the hard work.

I actually thought the neon case was an eyesore. Actually only a few of these were really appealing, but I suppose there's something to be said for originality.
My wife is letting me have a little cash, I'm getting a dremel and doing some creative things in the workshop. Planning on getting a few crappy cases to destroy while I learn! :D

One that I would like to see is individual components as big Lego blocks that you could rearrange and snap components in and out of. I mean it's almost like that now. Why not do away with the case entirely and just have PC legos?

Anyone else see the Lambada symbol on the Strogg? Dead center too. Wonder what it means........

Some coole, some weird and some just make you ask why but still. I like seeing these kinds of ideas out there.

NI would be amazed if someone could build one into a modle KITT Mustang from Night Rider. That would be pretty epic.

The lambda symbol is a tribute to the game Half-Life 2 which is IMO the best game ever. This mod toke me about 6 months and the R2-D2 about 5 months. Keep an eye out for my other projects at casemodz.nl

WOW many of them look cool, I LOL'd at the pizza box case mod... The piano computer had so much potential if he would have actually had an electric keyboard for the keys, and BOSE 2.1 stereo speakers on the sides, with a separate panel for the keyboard and mouse. Making it an actual functional music making piano computer.

[citation][nom]Minus_i7[/nom]A 480 SLI setup could make the toaster one functional.[/citation]
[citation][nom]JohnnyLucky[/nom]I liked the toaster pc. Now if it could only make coffee...[/citation]
Add a frying pan and you got breakfast
