While I was playing Valorant a few days ago, my monitor suddenly started glitching where like 1/3 of the screen suddenly became brighter than the rest of the screen and was occasionally flickering. After a few minutes, the glitch becomes drastically worse where it usually is just dark vertical lines. Whenever I turn on my PC, the glitch starts with the brightness thing (First few minutes) and then gradually worsens (After a few minutes). My monitor is an HP EliteDisplay E221 that I bought used about 6 years ago. I've tried re-inserting the monitor power cable, DVI cable, turning the monitor on and off, updating my graphics driver, but to no avail. I've yet to buy a DP cable to see if the cable/port is just the problem but for the mean time, do you guys have any idea if it's the monitor, cable, or the GPU (I'm only using the 4650g APU)?

That's probably either a signal issue or not enough power is being put into the display anymore or..................that display is OLD. Consider getting an external GPU now and troubleshoot if that solves it or another means of displaying it in another way like a console.

This may or may not be related, but ever since this problem occurred, my PC now boots with the "New CPU Installed ftpm/psp nv corrupted" error. I just press N and everything's fine but this had me worried if my CPU or motherboard may be the culprit even though they're both not even a year old.
