Partition a Samsung 850 Pro 512

Should I partition a 512 gig drive for better performance?. Maybe put OS on half and files on other. What is your take on this,would it even be a good idea to do this or just it the way it is. I have not got any files on it yet so now would be best time to decide.

Your performance will be better with a single partition, not that it will actually make any significant difference.
A single partition will be easier from the space management point of view.

If you have large sequential files such as videos, they will be better on a hard drive where storage costs less.
Otherwise, all goes on the ssd for performance.
