PartitionMagic Refuses to Resize

PartitionMagic v8 says it cannot reduce the size of a huge NTFS partition with an 11GB block of free space at the end, and another 4GB scattered around. When I select the resize/move operation, it won't let me increase the value for Free Space Before or Free Space After, or to decrease the value for the New Size. Why? Anything I can do about it?

What OS are you using? If you are using Vista or W7, you can go to manage by by right clicking on my computer. From there go to storage. You can make and resize partitions there. I've never had an issue with it.

Partition Magic does not work on Vista or W7, even Symantec states that.
