Howdy, so i was messing around the past few days overclocking my i5 2500k. I did some fps benchmarks in swbf, and used passmarks cpu test and compared the single threaded results to other cpus posted on the pass mark website.

Whats yalls thoughts on using this benchmark? With decent 4.7 GHz oc on the i5, i got the single thread score to match and even beat presumably known faster cpu’s at base speeds, such as 3770 and even came within 20 points of a non k 4790. Is this an accurate reflection of performance, like does my oc really put my cpu on the same level as those newer i7’s in single threaded applications?

I did find that with my overclock (3.3 base to 4.7) i gained about 25 fps on my average and my maxes went up about 20 in swbf, which is huge it seems (might be because im running a 1070ti so overclocking shows how bottlenecked my card is😵‍💫). Went from 80 fps average on ultra to 105 fps

*note my monitor is a crappy test monitor, so res is 1280x1024, so if fps seems high thats why*
