Question Password lock

Is there a way to put a password for a folder, that way a password must be entered to access it. I am not a great fan of hidden folders and all the folder unseen business. I like everything visible and for the once that I need a little extra security, a password option to access the folder.

Just restricting access to a folder won't prevent someone from getting the disk out of the computer and accessing that file, or booting installation media, or using Administrator account.

You can encrypt the whole volume with BitLocker, or put your files in password-protected ZIP file, and pulling / pushing them back and forth.

Also, Veracrypt is a nice tool to encrypt files into file containers or you can cedicate a whole partition if you want.
