[SOLVED] Password on SSD

I have a Externe Solid State Drive and i want to lock it with a password. but i dont have windows 10 pro and there for i dont have the windows bitlocker.Are there any other bitlockers or ways i could lock it with a password without installing a bitlocker that blocks you if you dont have the encryption software?

If your intent is to stop someone who knows what they are doing from getting your data then you need to encrypt the drive. Buy an upgrade for Windows Pro or you have no other choice but to buy third party encryption software. Neither the BIOS password nor the Windows password will stop someone accessing your data, they can pull the drive and get right into it from another computer.

If you just want to keep your nosy sibling off your computer then just put a password on your account within Windows. You can put the BIOS one too but then you have to remember 2 passwords.
Can I make a suggestion, why not put a password on system through bios. so when you turn on the pc it asks you a password to pass POST.

This is done in the bios but there is usually a setting to put a password on bios or the system. If you select system this enables the password on POST.
