Question Password protect an USB flash drive

Never had an issue with Windows 10. Can't figure out how to do it with Windows 11. Any ideas?

I'm signed in to my Microsoft Local Account. it's asking me to sign in my Microsoft Account to finish encrypting. I go to sign in my Microsoft Account and it won't accept my password. I'm stuck somehow...

There's no "Microsoft Local Account", it is "Local Account".
Can you access your Microsoft account by eg logging into https://account.microsoft.com?

I can sign in with the above link but when I go through Privacy & Security -> Device Encryption my password is not accepted.

All I'm trying to do is password protect a USB drive.

Control Panel | BitLocker Drive Encryption: Do you see your USB drive there? If so - just turn BitLocker ON for it. I don't have "Home" edition to see whether it's enabled here as well, though

Only my C drive shows for Device Encryption, not my USB drive.
