So I see bitlocker will not work. I see AOMEI Backupper Pro 6.9.2 and it say it will "password encryption", will that allow me to create a password to enter every time I put the thumb drive into any PC?

I don't know the answer to that as I use hardkeys for real security. You would have to try it and see what happens this is the best method I found by doing a google search. I also haven't used windows 7 2015.

AOMEI Backupper Pro 6.9.2 did not work to add password to thumb drive when opened. It did add password to backup. I guess I'll try to get my piece of S..t windows 10 out to save a password to the thumb drive using bitlocker.

Thanks, I wont waist my time then. I was wanting to put the thumb drive in my TV and other PC so that wont work. I'll go on line and look for storage devised with password on startup.
And this is why more info up front is helpful.

password protected, going into a TV, may be problematic.
For instance, the 7Zip mentioned above won't work, because a TV can't undo it.

Be sure that the TV can communicate and provide the pwd to whatever drive is in there.
