[citation][nom]alidan[/nom]STFU AND READ THIS BEFORE POSTING FURTHER.the patent system is broken (non physical tech wise) when rounded edged icons can get a parent. however saying the patent system wrong is asinine.lets say you came up with a way to cool a cpu better than anyone else. and i mean 10% over the current best minimum. you detail your design, you file a patent, and this protects you from bigger companies taking the idea using it, and crushing you out of business.in the non physical tech world, there needs to be a patent pool. where everyone get licenses, all get it fairly, and the same value no matter who you are. for the physical, the patent system needs to root out all vague patents. if i can site an example, look at the magnavox first game system. the guy who made it detailed EVERYTHING so precisely, that he proved that another company stole his idea, and used it, and he got a settlement for it. THATS how the patent system should work, non of this sending an email from a cellphone bulls@#$ we have now.[/citation]

[citation][nom]freggo[/nom]Hmmm, so you actually KNOW and have PROOF she did it?Shame, why have YOU not been a witness for the prosecution?Folks, don't believe everything the media tells you; neither over a trumped up and sensationalized murder case (if she even "did it") nor of how a 14" screen made it into a 13" notebook.Reporters in general are not the brightest bunch; that's why they 'report' stuff instead of actually 'making' stuff. Than again, some reporters 'make up' stuff to😵K, that's enough stuff for now 🙂[/citation]

are you the guy down at the couthouse holding up a sign asking her to marry you?

[citation][nom]nebun[/nom]you are so very correct, the US judicial system sucks big time, look at how that monster of a woman got away with murder....WTF is going on?[/citation]
all teh evidence was circumstantial , you know how many innocent peopel would be in prision or on death row if circumstansial evidence pass the garde to convict ?

I personally think she didn't murder the kid , but she definitely mishandled the situation after the kid died (most people would have called some one) perhaps she was in total shock , what ever they found her INNOCENT and in this country people are innocent till proven guilty. that means circumstantial evidence wont convict nor should it EVER.

This is one of teh basic principles BEHIND our constitution and while you may have an opnion against the innocent till proven guilty thing , and the justice system may be broken , but it's better than what you can do and it's sure as hell more fair to every one else.

that said , the patent system needs fixing that is what this article is about not the justice system. a murder trial is a totally differnt thing than a buisness patent lawsuit case. for one ina murder trial a whole bunch of idiots make up the jury that decides the verrdict , and it is possible to sway a jury on circumstantial evidence (but it's not so easy when there is solid evidence)

with a patent suit there is no jury there is just a judge and he decides who the patent goes to by who has the best evidence for thier case. iot doesnt make the justice system broken to work like this , because this is about the ONLY way it can get worked out. most every countries' patent/trademark/copyright system works like this in the courts , the problem is in the patent office NOT the courts.

No, of course not; I actually do not have a clue as to what the story with that 'woman' is. I have more important things do care about in life. But I am the voice of caution reminding you that you should not base a 'guilty' verdict on something (ANYTHING) based purely on what you gather from the media.
Without knowing the FACTS you are at the mercy of the Media's or Reporter's agenda. Past events have shown many times that they certainly have one. Just look at what's happening to the "News of the World" !

I am not some liberal sissy, I am very much in favor of the death penalty for instance (and that includes 'insanity' cases, drug or alcohol related DUIs etc.

And now back to our regular tech news 🙂

Hum.. filled on March 2009. I'm pretty sure those cooling method was used before 2009. If it's the case, Lenovo or Fujitsu could easily invalidate the patient.

I have been a juror on a murder trial. After we rendered the verdict I went back and read all the news articles covering the trial. Hearing EVERY word, in context, and seeing the witnesses in person as they answered the questions is MUCH different than getting a quote or sound byte here and there in the media.

[citation][nom]iam2thecrowe[/nom]I patent the way i wipe my @#!*% . If anyone shall wipe their @#!*% like me, i shall sue them![/citation]
And I patent the way I am a pain in the ass suing others. If they try to be a patent troll and a pain in the ass, I will sue them!

if you have absolute proof, please contact the florida state patrol so this woman can have her life come to an end & be executed.
we apologize for wanting to know with out a trace of doubt this woman was the one who commited these acts. dna testing proved alot of innocent people in texas were executed for crimes they did not commit.
not reporting people missing except in an auto accident is not a crime.
pretty stupid, but still not a crime.
either come forward as a witness or provide the proof needed to remove all doubt and stfu about it on a tech site.

[citation][nom]docken02[/nom]The suing over patents thing is getting out of hand. It’s ridiculous.[/citation]
It HAS been getting out of hand for years. Thanks to our patent system, the USA will one day look like a third world country in comparison.

Funny.

Apple patents the smart pen (which already exists) and Tom's posts an article about how great Apple it.

IPventures patents a cooling system (which already exists) and Tom's posts an article about how IPventures is a patent troll.
