Few days back, I reinstalled payday 2. On main menu screen, my monitor began to flicker and experienced screen tears. After around 10 seconds, my monitor turns black completely, with background noise still running. I restart computer only to find screen tears on login screen. I can log in but my screen turns black or blue completely with no mouse or any icons to be seen. The strange part is my computer works completely fine, as if nothing happened, in safe mode. I uninstalled/updated my driver and did system restore. Any other solutions to this problem?
AMD Radeon 7800 series and Windows 7

Solution
The best one for that cpu would be the gtx 750 ti. It's really reliable and youll run payday 2 with no lag whatsoever even on the new sokol heist.

CPU: AMD Phenom 2 x4 955 processor 3.3 ghz
8 gb ram
ATI radeon hd 7870
toshiba 256 gb SSD
ACER 21'' monitor
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64 bit

I did try swapping monitors but nothing changes.

I didn't mess around with the graphics card settings or the game settings. Everything is on default. The issue only occurred after I ran payday 2. Everything before then worked fine. I left vsync off all the time because it drops my framerate while gaming. The thing is that I can't even log in in normal mode so I can't change anything.

Ok keep v sync off and enable triple buffering. If that still doesnt work try using the same GPU on a different computer if possible and see if the issue is still there. How long have you had this card?

I've had the card for about 1.5 years.
NEW ISSUE ARRIVED:
I planned on doing factory reset. After trying to back up my data, the computer froze. And now I can't even access safe mode. gg indeed.
