PayPal ERR CONNECTION REFUSED

so it used to work fine but then the past few days it just keeps saying

ERR CONNECTION REFUSED...

Lets get some things off the list here..

I'm currently using google chrome,

I have tried to open paypal On Chrome(OBV),FireFox,Edge on all sites it says the same thing.

I have disabled firewall/anti-virus program Still no chedder

I have tried using 2 different computers in the house, Desktop,Laptops Still not working......


I just do not get it what else could it be? it worked fine like 2 days ago D:

What did PayPal say to do when you contacted them over this issue?

It`s probably because you are not using a secure connection.
Make sure when you type the web address for paypal it has Http://

See bellow.

https://www.paypal.com/uk/home

Putting just www. will lead to an unsecured connection and cause an error.
Also make sure your time and date on the computer and the year are set right and are current.
Or your connection will be refused.

I have tried the secure connection way, My time/date is correct, I tried using safari on my Mobile just now to access paypal and the same thing happens BUT when I use the paypal app it works. so what could that be then?

If you are connecting via a router, it is probably the hardware firewall of the router causing you problems.
If set to high, set it to medium, and the problem should go away after applying the new settings in the router.

You will find all of the information to login to your router on a sticker on the underside of the router, or on the back of it.

I just tried it and it still does not work this just makes no sense why it does not work.

now how would i go about changing that? I went to internet options and turned that to medium and it still did not work but I don't think thats what you mean

If so you need to look at the modem router box where it will give you the details of how to login to your router.

Example on the underside of the box.

IP: Address 192.168.0.1 typed into chrome.

The user name and the password also.

Used to login to your router modem.

Have a look at the box that provides your internet if you have fiber optic cable or ADSL broad band service.

I can get into there but where do i go what do I change. I'm using netgear router if that helps
