Here is my memory upgrade information from my motherboard(MSI MS-7778 (Jasmine) specs.
Dual channel memory architecture
Four 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets
Supports DDR3 DIMMs
PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333)
PC3-12800 (DDR3-1600)
PC3-14400 (DDR3-1866)
Non-ECC memory only, unbuffered
Supports 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB or 8 GB DIMMs

The only thing I am worried about is that the (DDR3-1866) is right but on the RAM I want to purchase it says (PC3-14900) which my motherboard upgrade info says DDR3-1866 (PC3-14400) ...
Does this matter or will it still work on my motherboard? Also, I meant to mention my BIOS is not unlocked and I have an AMD A8-5500 Processor. It is an AMD Llano Platform so will it have XMP support? I am thinking it might just be 2nd and 3rd Gen Intel Processors that have XMP support but I hope not. And if my processor does somehow have XMP Support do you think I will be able to enable it even though my BIOS is locked? If someone could answer these 2 questions I have asked above I would be extremely grateful. I am so closed to purchasing some gaming RAM that I have wanted for ages. I just want to make sure it will be compatible. This is the RAM I am wanting to purchase... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231539&cm_re=G.Skill_Ripjaws_Z_Series_16GB_%284_x_4GB%29_DDR3-1866_Memory-_-20-231-539-_-Product

Also if I cannot use XMP and my BIOS is locked could someone direct me to a program I might could use to overclock the RAM that way? Please help me and answer these questions for me. If you have any other suggestions of some other gaming RAM you think I should look into feel free to suggest some as long as they are compatible with my motherboard. Thanks in advance. :bounce:

Solution
the 14900 is the same basic thing as 14400, so pretty much interchangeable, and since this is an HP mobo with a locked BIOS the BIOS itself should set the DRM up to the fastest it can run it based on the SPD settings of the DRAM
