Hey everyone. I recently just finished building my 2nd computer, but when I tried to turn it on, everything seemed fine, but after 30 seconds the fans turned off (except for the gpu and cpu fan's) and when I pressed the button on the DVD drive it would open and then close itself immediantly after. There was also no display coming from either the graphics card or the internal graphics.

What I have tried:

* Replacing PSU with another one (same one, but bronze rated).

* Checking for loose connections.

* Checking for power shortages
(only thing I could think of was looking for any screws inside the case, but there wasn't any).

* Using a different power cable.

* Using different wall socket.

* Turning off the machine, and holding the power button for 30 seconds (when the switch at the back is turned off, and the plug is disconnected, pressing the power button will cause everything to turn on for about a second before it all turns off again).

* Taking out the motherboard battery and putting it back in.

Tomorrow I will be taking apart the whole PC and starting again, hopefully I find something that caused the problem. If the problem continues, I will be buying a new (and different) motherboard.

Is there anything I can try or test in hope I can get this sorted? I need answers as quick as possible, I won't be able to check after a few hours, and not at all tomorrow, so I need answers asap.

Specs:
Athlon X4 750k CPU
Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Kingston HyperX Blu 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card
EVGA 500W 80+ Certified ATX Power Supply
Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer

Thanks :)

first why a 1333mhz ram? and not 1600 and up
second check if the cpu is well seated on his socket... check the cpu cooler/thermal paste
do a memtest
check temps and voltages if they are normal

THANKS! TO PUT A WELL EXPLAIN POST ...ITS CLEAR AND SAFE OUR TIME

Whoops, didn't mean to make you best solution, but thanks for the reply. I am sure it is seated correctly though. Is it supposed to feel quite even when you bring the arm down in the socket?

Edit: I also can't check the temps and voltages because I haven't even been able to get the PC to display anything, so I can't get into the BIOS.
