[SOLVED] PC and High Ping

So I don't experience any problems with my WIFI on my phone when in my room but atm my PC has been spiking in ping randomly to 500 and this pretty unbearable when playing games. I do speed tests on my phone and I get 19ping 25mbps download in my room. now my internet company (BT) sent me the plug in ethernet adapters but they're pretty bad seeing as its still pretty much going through wireless rather than a straight cable. I have a wireless card in my PC im not sure if that's the issue or if that's what's causing my bad internet on my PC, or I don't know if I need to run a hardwired ethernet through the loft and down into the modem which is just out my bedroom door and down the hallway, in a bungalow... what are my options?

hardwired ethernet is the only way to go wifi is never going to be good enough as far as I know.
