Hi, I moved house earlier and after setting up my PC I can't get any video signal. It was working fine five hours ago. It appears to boot fine and the startup sound plays through my speakers, the keyboard light up and num / caps lock turn on and off.

However I am getting nothing through my monitor and it just goes straight to Power Saving Mode. I connected the same monitor to my laptop and it works fine. Connecting the PC to a different monitor still gives no picture so it must be a problem with the PC itself. After reading I gather it could be any number of problems, ranging from PSU to the Graphics card.

I built it myself with the help of a friend two months ago and it was worked flawlessly up until today. I am at a loss as to what to try first so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Nope, nothing at all comes up on the monitor.

I am hoping it isn't something really stupid I have done when setting it up again but I can't think of anything as I tried two different monitors and neither worked.

hmm... so, you have no signal coming to the monitor...
and you have it connected to the right source...
and the monitor works just fine, when connected to another computer...
interesting...
could be some trouble with your graphic card...

posting your specs would be nice 😀

Sounds like your video card or another part walked out of there slot during the move. I would turn off the power supply and pull power from the wall let the mb drain. Open the case and make sure the cabes..ram And video card are seated. I would unlock the video card and pull it and check to see if the pci video slot is fine and not snapped. With new mb if the gpu fails the mb going to swap to the onboard gpu.

Yeah I am hoping the graphics card has just come loose in transit earlier today, so I will check that first thing tomorrow. If everything seems to be in place would you suggest returning the graphics card? Is there a way to check that is definitely the issue as I don't want to get a refund to find it wasn't the problem.

Thanks!
