So my PC has been restarting automatically. This happens atleast once a month and it just happend now, my monitor just turned off and the PC restarted the lights in my PC never turned off. I'm using a cheap PSU that i got in august of 2020. Is it the PSU? Should i get a new one?

My specs are

Core 2 Quad q6600
GT 1030
4gb ram
Windows 7 64bit

Hi there,

Yes, it's very likely it's the PSU causing the issue. What brand/model is it. If it's cheap, and has started to fail, I would consider not running the PC until you look at a new one.

A decent 400-450w would do you fine. Maybe something like this:

PCPartPicker Part List

Power Supply: Corsair CX (2017) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($54.94 @ Newegg)
Total: $54.94
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available
