Pc begins to stutter or just lags when too much is going on in a game.

So as of recently my pc overheated and the gpu broke. I have now got a new gpu which is a gtx 1060 which works fine and is not the problem as i have tried another working graphics card and the problem persist. It only started after my gpu broke aswell. It happens at the start of games like csgo and when driving on a game like gta v however a game like siege doesnt have any problem but a game like battlefield 1 has constant frame lag. My drivers are fully up to date. My pc was working comeplety fine before it overheated and now it doesnt and i have no idea what the problem could be. Maybe try to reseat your gpu, but if that doesn't work it may be your pcie slot on your mobo.
