Hi there.

For a while now I've had this issue where my computer boots, but I almost never get past the BIOS splash screen.

Here's a quick rundown of 2 ways it can go when I press the power button:

1.
  • I press the power button
  • My monitor shows the BIOS splash screen
  • My monitor turns black amd says "No Signal"

The only way to get out of this No Signal is to forcefully shut down the PC via Power button.

2.
  • I press the power button
  • My monitor shows the BIOS splash screen
  • It says "Preparing Automatic Repair"
  • Then "Diagnosing PC"
  • I get this blue screen
  • If I click "Restart", it reatarts, shows BIOS splash screen. Then my monitor turns black amd says "No Signal"

I have tried going into advanced options to "Continue" but that again gives me: BIOS splash -> No Signal.
Sometimes, randomly, it does work and I get into the login screen however shortly after I get No Signal.

Last time this happened it looked like this.

Things I have tried (Some unnecessary I know):
  • Different PSU
  • New Motherboard
  • Different GPU
  • Different CPU Cooler
  • Less/More RAM
  • System Restore
  • Uninstall Updates
  • Reset PC (Delete Everything)
  • Update BIOS
  • Completely Wipe SSD and install Windows from USB

The weird thing about all this is that both before and after wiping my SSD, normal startup does not work, but I can boot into Windows in Safe Mode. I have no Idea what this tells me.

My PC:
  • OS: Windows 10 Home
  • Motherboard: MSI Z370-A Pro
  • GPU: Gigabyte RTX 2070
  • CPU: Intel I7 8700
  • RAM: 16GB DDR4
  • PSU: Corsair RM650X
Nothing is overclocked or otherwise modified.

I really have no other ideas on how I could possibly fix this other than just buy a whole new PC.

Solution
As far as I know, the pc needs to read the hdd/ssd (wherever the os is installed on) right after the bios splash screen
I think what you need to do is the following:

Get another hdd/ssd from a friend, or another pc, any source really
(you could use one with an active version of windows, just don't connect to the net)
Or just install win on it trough usb

test it

to my mind this will solve your issue ( i had a similar issue once - turned out the ssd was the culprit)
