Hello guys, i have a problem that i can't detect or solve even i really lots of search on it...

So in brief, my pc suddenlye crashes on some games or normal usage (For example everytime i start and play some endless space 2), it gaves bsod and reboots to efi shell, i can only solve with force poweroff and power on. I really don't know which hardware of my pc has problems.

I want to tell my old problem for maybe it givs hint. I formatted my disks and did clean w10 install, i had some weird problems on pc.

View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jsS3f4sBHU4

While it showing, my hdd drive D is %100 usage. My windows starts normally after waiting this like 5-6 minutes. If i remove sata cable of my hdd at this moment, problem is fixing and i connect hdd again and its working. But after reboot while hdd is connected, this problem occurs again.

note:
-Im on clear windows 10, i installed 1 week ago.
My pc:
  • FX 8350 CPU
  • Zotac 1050 ti OC edition
  • MSI 970 Gaming Motherboard
  • Seagate 2tb HDD
  • Samsung 870 evo (windows)
  • Samsung 850 evo

If you help me i will be very glad...

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD
  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and choose 'Send to' - Compressed (zipped) folder
  6. Upload the zip file to the Cloud (OneDrive, DropBox . . . etc.)
  7. Then post a link here to the zip file, so we can take a look for you . . .
what PSU?

At first, thank you very much for reply and helping...
My psu: xigmatek tauro 500w 80plus bronze

I used both of seatools and samsung magician, and scanned drives. My drives are very healthful, there is no problem. (and i did hd tune too.)

I setted up Small memory dumps now. I will send files after my bsod

its strange then that the 100% usage only happens if hdd is attached.

how old is PSU? I can find reviews of it from 2013. Is it same age as rest of PC?
If so, it might be part of the problem, they can start to fail as they get older.

Well, if you get any BSOD, and shares the minidump files with me, it might give me a clue.

I don't like guessing

its likely PSU is out of warranty so could be it, they aren't reliable once they get older (just like me)

do you have 100% usage in safe mode?
  1. go to settings/update & security/recovery
  2. under advanced startup, click restart now button
  3. this restarts PC in a blue menu
  4. choose troubleshoot
  5. choose advanced
  6. choose startup options
  7. click the restart button
  8. choose a safe mode (it doesn't matter which) by using number associated with it.
  9. Pc will restart and load safe mode

Nope, i didnt tell but i tried it:

when i had flashing taskbar, im doing ctrl+alt+del and going to restart with safe mode. its totally fixes it, i never see flashing taskbar and %100 hdd usage in safe mode, everythink is normal out there.

Hi, I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/um9qL8on/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:071421-9687-01.dmp (Jul 14 2021 - 10:20:05)
Bugcheck:IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (A)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process: XSplitVCam.exe)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 8 Hour(s), 32 Min(s), and 56 Sec(s)

Possible Motherboard page: https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/970-gaming.html
I may have the wrong motherboard because I can't find your BIOS listed on the page. You have BIOS version 22.4 installed. Don't try to update until you have more info. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

bios update probably not solution on an old PC, if its worked perfectly fine until now, its not likely going to help.

dump isn't showing a cause directly
Webcam software died but I don't see any webcam software. Probably means it uses windows drivers.

on most PC I suggest updating drivers. You could see if newer Realtek audio drivers
Jul 30 2009MBfilt64.sysHigh Definition Audio driver (Realtek Ltd) https://www.realtek.com/en/
Dec 06 2016RTKVHD64.sysRealtek Audio System driver https://www.realtek.com/en/

your lan drivers aren't new but finding newer isn't easy any more since Killer are now owned by Intel and don't support their old hardware like they used to
Sep 14 2016e2xw10x64.sysKiller PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller driver http://www.killernetworking.com/

Vanguard anti cheat can cause BSOD. Its needed for Valorant
this can cause problems
Dec 19 2018idmwfp.sysInternet Download Manager WFP driver (Tonec Inc.)

I searched now, i probably find a realtek driver (i dont know its compatible with my pc) and downloading it, its very slow it'll be 3 hours long.

I installed a newer killer driver from intel's website.

and i uninstalled idm(idmwfp.sys) and vanguard with valorant.

Most importantly i paused windows updates from clean install, i think thats protects me a lot. however, i will share my next minidump, thank you...

realtek isn't easy anymore as they have 2 types of drivers now.

the old style you need that includes the HD Audio manager
the new style which is only the driver, the console for which is downloaded from MIcrosoft store

You probably find this is latest https://www.tenforums.com/sound-audio/182081-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version-3-a.html

3 hours? ouch.. i wouldn't think drivers are that big?

I'm downloading this: https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...-codecs-high-definition-audio-codecs-software
64bits Vista, Windows7, Windows8, Windows8.1, Windows10 Driver only (Executable file)..R2.822017/07/26258 MB

but its down speed is max 30 KBps

booting to efi shell is unusual. It shouldn't ever go there, it only goes there is the ssd doesn't reply and you don't have anything else in boot order. You say drives work fine... I wonder if its a sata cable.

typing exit and hitting enter should get you out of the efi - https://www.intel.com/content/dam/s...s/motherboards/server/sb/efi_instructions.pdf
assuming AMD efi are same as Intel. I think they probably are.
