After going through 2 RMAs of my graphics card and having no success with my problems being fixed, I came to the internet for assistance! Below i've listed the problems that have been occurring since receiving the build back in October of 2020.

  1. Constant system freezes in which the entire system freezes for 4-5 seconds, goes black for a moment, then returns to where I was.
  2. Similarly to the above, the system will go completely black then the entire system with be blank - my wallpaper will be missing (all black), all taskbar icons missing but im still able to access the applications that are still open.
  3. Almost all recordings (from shadowplay) I have been doing has resulted in crazy amounts of artifacting with distorted red, green, and blue pixels scattered all over.
  4. Performance has been horrible in games such as grand theft auto (FiveM specifically) and other titles in which constant lag spikes occur and large amounts of frame skipping.

Some things I think may be causing the problems im having:

  • My pc is currently running off an extension cord, a room over from mine since I have no outlets available to me.
  • Power supply may be faulty?

Any help is more than appreciated and if anymore information is needed I am ready to shoot over whatever is needed :)

Solution
If you want to try a new extension cord, look for a heavy guage one similar to an air conditioner extension cord, typically rated to handle 15-20 amps minimum
