Hello everyone! Hop you are having a nice day and in a good mood!)
I am thinking of building new PC with a budget of 1500-2200euro for working with Stable Diffusion AI and 1440p gaming...for next 5 years or so.
Also working with Sketchup+Enscape, 3dsmax+Corona, Photoshop

My current machine that I built in 2018 is...
CPU - i7-7820X 8x 3.6 GHz So. 2066 WOF + Noctua NH-D15S
PSU - 750Watt Seasonic Plus modular 80+ Gold
Drive - 500Gb Samsung evo 2.5 SATA + 2x2Tb Seagate HDD
MoBo - Asrock Fatality X299 Gaming K6 Intelx2999 so. 2066 quad channel ddr4 ATX
RAM - 32Gb Quad Kit ddr4-3200 CL16-18-18-38
What would you recommend? I have never had any parts from AMD...usually Intel+NVidia, would be happy to hear abouth both options if you recommend of course )) I heard AMD has more VRAM which is important for Stable Diffusion, but nvidia is more supported, or how?
Or should I just echange some parts and save the money, but for how long...
I live in Germany and already have a screen BENQ 27in 144hz

Anyways, Thank you very much in advance !!!:D

If you are ok with 8 cores (assuming that the GPU does all the work with your stable diffusion), you can upgrade just the parts you need and resue the cooler, ssd, case, storage , rams and PSU:

or you could even get the 4080: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product...eforce-rtx-4080-16-gb-video-card-48nzm6md6ltk

You would just have to get the pcie 5.0 12 pin cable. lucky that 650/750W is the minimum spec for powering it as per seasonic. https://seasonic.com/12vhpwr-cable

I think it is a really good idea to reuse what I already have in my build...I only wonder how much longer can those parts last...but actually they aren't that expencive to replace.

the rams, case, cooler are all long lasting parts.

PSU, fans (bearings), SSD you might think about getting a new one depending on the age.

The question boils down to are you happy with the current parts? if yes, i see little reason to swap for new parts.

Thanks for a quick reply=)

all those parts work fine now...never had problems with my current build actually, never had to change or repair anything...
I already got a new 2TB 970 evo ssd (not installed yet), and might get another one.
I just dont want to have situation when ...you know the saying "cheap one pazs twice".
Never had AMD or Radeon so I dont know about those parts, and their performace in Sketchup+Enscape, 3dmax+Corona, Stable Diffusion.
The point is also if I replace only parts...I doubt I can sell the old ones on Ebay...and dont want to lose money

after some of recomendations and self research I think I will go for this GPU

KFA Geforce rtx 4080 ST (or should I take SG, what is the difference?)

What do you think about it, and what would you recommend to build around it as Motherboard and CPU, I think I will re-use all my other parts - these two parts together for 500-600 euro?
Or is it critical to upgrade my PSU for 750W and my RAM* I am afraid it will be slow.
I would want minimum 8+8 cores CPU, and then of course I am ready to extend the budget...

Thank you very much !

the cpu cost about 100 euro less, leaving more room for the gpu budget.

the B550 and B760 mobo cost about the same.

So at last :)

https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/z7RP2m

I am reusing my Noctua fan as well as some HDD, SSD SATA, case and all fans for system from current Build I have for 5 years already:)

I was also giving a thought to RX 7900 XTX...but it would also require to swith the AI tool a bit to NOD.Ai with different interface, and unfamiliar support as far as I understand it.
What do you think about such an upgrade?
