Hello,

I'm looking for help with building a new PC for gaming and livestream. I'm currently playing on the i9900k platform, RTX 2080 Super. I plan to go live on Twitch using the graphic card codec from my current PC, or I'd like to use a card from a new PC. I'll consider both a 1 PC and 2 PC setup.

Motherboard: MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 4.5 GHz 8-Core
GPU: Gainward GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB GDDR6X (I couldn't find it in the configurator)
CPU Cooler: ENDORFY Fortis 5 ARGB CPU
RAM: GOODRAM IRDM 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30
Storage: Lexar NM620 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 X4 NVMe (I have two SSD drives in my current setup, I can move 1 of them)
Case: be quiet! Pure Base 501 Airflow ATX Mid Tower
PSU: MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX

The previous setup had an AMD Ryzen 5 7600 processor, I changed it to a Ryzen 7 7700X because I prefer something more powerful. The question is whether the fans will be able to handle it and whether there will be any problems with the temperature inside. Shouldn't I get a larger case for such a set? Can you recommend one?

Similarly with the graphics card, if I were to buy something from the new generation, it could be some 5070 Ti, which will supposedly be similar in price to the 4070 Ti Super.
Will the power supply be enough?

I'd appreciate your help, regards
Gris

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

At face value, you've put together a good build. I would look into a higher tier processor, something like the X3D SKU's as you'll be gaming as well as streaming off the same platform. If you're not going to be streaming and gaming off one system, you'd still be good with an X3D SKU processor but you're also good with the 7700x. I would also look into a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE in place of the Fortis. As for the storage, you should look into a smaller capacity SSD for your OS, app's and launchers while a larger drive will act as the game library.

If you do video editing before you upload your content, you should consider adding a mechanical drive to the build. If possible add some fans to populate the from panel mounting locations so you're feeding the innards with fresh cooler, ambient air.

If you're located in the UK or the USA, the price difference between the 750W and 850 version of the PSU you've listed is negligible and you get more headroom, so I'd pick an 850W unit.

You forgot to mention where you're located, what your budget for the build is and what sort of titles you'd be gaming/streaming.

My 2 cents on your build.
Hope this helps!

Hi,

I'm from Poland. The prices of power supplies may not be surprising, but when it comes to AMD processors, it's a different story.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D costs 612 in US dollars.

I don't know which ones you're talking about, but I'm assuming a maximum cost of around PLN 7,000, so around USD 1,840 max.

The games I'm currently playing are Valorant - a game based mostly on the processor and Fort (stronger use of graphics). However, in the future I'd like to try something like Cyberpunk, games that require a more powerful machine. I like playing various types of indie games. What I also care about is playing in 2K res. As for the target setup, it's 2 2K monitors. I currently have a 27-inch MSI monitor, I tried to go back to 1080p of the same size. I ended up returning the monitor :/. To sum up, if only the new unit allows, I'll try to use it for more demanding titles, including video editing.

Shouldn't the casing be bigger though?

Thanks for your reply
