Introduction: Hey Forum. I need your help to build a desktop for gaming and rendering (autocad, revit, etc). Also, I would like this build to run The Witcher 3 on maxed out (or very high) settings when it comes out.

Approximate Purchase Date: December 2014 - February 2015

Budget Range: 1000 € - 1500 €

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Witcher 3 maxed settings (or very high settings), Rendering images for my project in Landscape Architecture

I will second Meteors build with the exception of the motherboard and GPU. For the extra money, I would personally grab Asus versions of the Z97 mobo and 970. I heard ASRock quality is abysmal and I never dealt with Zotac but I would rather a manufacturer with a high consumer rating.

The availability of GTX970 from any brand is a bit of a problem since this week in Germany.
You might not find them that easily like last week.
I am guessing that the GTX970's availability will be a problem too in Rumania.

ASROCK produces great quality MoBos, never heard of their abysmal quality ones, the one mentioned is a great MoBo, highly rated, and full of features, great for the price. And if I'm not wrong, not many brands are available in Europe, for the 900 series.

Last week I was able to buy MSI GTX970 4G.
This week, I am looking for one more of those but it is hard to find.
GTX970s from eVGA, MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, etc. are/were really rare this week.
I grabbed Galax because it was the only one available as I ordered it.
I am unfamiliar with Galax a.k.a. TFA2 a.k.a Galaxy..let see how the VGA will really look like.

@MeteorsRaining - why do you recommend 2 different storage devices in your build?

A SSD for OS and main programs and some games, for faster boots and overall better experience, a HDD for bulk storage of data, like music, pics, videos, games, projects, doc files, etc. It's the most convienent way for a faster system than one on a regular HDD.

The most frequently played games, for better performance, equating to faster loads and access times, as well as a couple FPS more in heavily modded games like Skyrim.

About the Haswell-E, The problem with this platform is the price of the DDR4 RAM.
At the moment, I see that this platform does not really worth the price unless you either want it bad or need it desperately for a stronger i7 (above €500 class) and/or for much RAM >32GB.

Broadwell will come most-likely next year and the compatibility to Z97 is not guaranteed but the potential is there.
About how good Broadwell will be, I can not tell anything since I do not know anything about it.

Z97 and H97 will support Broadwell, its garuanteed by Intel. And Broadwell will not be anything more than 5-10% better, not worth waiting IMO. For Haswell-E, your purpose, unless you do it on an absolute extreme level, doesn't require a 6 core on the least. You can go with it, there's no issue in that, but will that be much better than 4790k and jusitify the price difference? No IMO.
