Hello,
I'm planning to build a computer around the RTX 5080 GPU.

Here is a config I found online, is it good ? Should I change/avoid something ? :

Case: HYTE Y70 Black
CPU: i9-14900KF
CPU Cooling: MSI x MPC MAG CORELIQUID M360
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z790 Eagle AX WIFI DDR5
RAM: 32Go DDR5 RAM 6000 MHz ADATA XPG Lancer Blade RGB (2x16)
Power supply: be quiet ! Pure Power 12 M - 850W - 80 PLUS Gold
SSD: 2000 Go Crucial P310

Thanks for your help !
Sorry for the poor English

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

If I were you, I'd look into a 1KW PSU to have as headroom even though Nvidia's support site for the GPU states that the required PSU wattage should be 850W.

If this system is meant for gaming, I'd add a smaller capacity SSD for the OS, app's and launchers. Leave the larger 2TB SSD as the game library drive. I'd avoid anything made by MSI for an AIO.

What's the purpose of this build? Where are you located and what is your preferred site for purchase? Questions that's been asked here;

This is what I would suggest. I have the 4070 Super in there as a place holder but everything else are thing that I would recommend:

Hello everyone and thank you for your answers. I'm sorry for not following the guidelines.

What's the purpose of this build? Where are you located and what is your preferred site for purchase? Questions that's been asked here;
I'm from Europe (France) and my build is for gaming. I'd like to be able to play recent and upcoming games (STALKER 2, Kingdom Come 2, GTA 6...) without having to think about upgrading my pc for a few years.

Budget range would be around 3000/3500€ and if possible with payment in several instalments (like paypal 4x payment).

No need for a monitor right now, I'll upgrade later.Right now I'm mostly playing in 1920x1080.
my goal is to have a very good pc in order to have peace of mind for the next few years. Playing in 4K is a plus and I'll probably try it if possible.But right now I just want to be able to play any games without having to ask myself "will it run on my computer without downgrading every settings ?"

Here is the build I found on a french/german website (you can edit the config to see what is available):
https://www.memorypc.fr//detail/018...af236f45?sid=0194bc4facc471dfbca5c9a0e9b136e4

@g-unit1111 thank you for these informations, would this build fit inside the HYTE Y70 case ? Maybe my link above would be able to create a similar build (I really like it ^^)

Also on the website, it says GPU 5080 without specifying the brand (MSI, ASUS...) is this risky ? I can manually pick a few 5080 but I don't really know which one to choose. Especially since some of them are missing like MSI SUPRIM.

Thanks guys !

You're not getting 5080 or 5090 for quite some time.

Out of curiosity why the 6400 C32 memory over 6000 C30?

I understand the move to a more reputable brand but not the 6400 speed which may or may not work or offer any gains.

I will be building an AM5 System myself soon and everything I see points towards 6000 really

It probably won't make a difference. I just chose that one at random. Corsair Dominator Platinum is solid RAM, it's all that I use. It may be a bit on the more expensive side, but it does use the Samsung B-die as opposed to the SK Hynix that most generic RAM uses. If you don't want the LED lighting you can definitely leave that out.

Yeah the Hyte Y70 and the NZXT H6 Flow are very similar cases. Use whatever you like.

I'm not sure I understand this question about the GPU though, are you talking about the NVIDIA Founder's Edition cards? If so, those are very safe to purchase. The Founders' Edition cards are basically no frills base model cards, but they are usually based off reference designs. OEMs like MSI and Asus usually buy the GPU processors direct from NVIDIA or AMD and build the coolers and the PCBs (printed circuit board) to their own specifications.

Ah I didn't realise that model was B-die. I often wondered why there was a price premium other than the obvious bling. Everyday is a school day

I have done a couple of builds in a Y70 including a Y70 touch. Lovely case to build in and pretty much anything will fit in there with exception to some EATX motherboards.

This would be my reccomendation should you be able to get a 5080, otherwise sub in a 4080S for only 10-15% less performance.
