My current GAMING PC
GPU: GTX 970
Case: Thermaltake Commander G42.(MidTower)
CPU: Intel i5 4690
Powesupply: Corsair CX850M
Motherboard: Asus H97 Plus
RAM: 4 GB DDR3 corsair vengence RAM x2
I want to Upgrade it. I feel like its getting outdated, I have had it for years. Iwant DDR4 so I know I have to upgrade the Motherboard but I dont know what motherboard and I want an i7 8800k which I need a new motherboard for as well. so here are my questions:
1. What parts should I focus on first. And what motherboard should I get that will Fit my case and that has plenty of USB ports?
2. What order should I buy them...Or should i get them all at once and install all at once.

I guess you mean the i7-8700K. Any ATX mobo will fit your case. You should buy all the parts at once, or within a week or so, so that way you can find out if one component is faulty and needs to be replaced within the retailer's return window.
